On December 6, Daegu City and the metaverse-based robotics company, Optimus System, signed an investment contract for establishing the new factory at Daegu Technopolis and relocating its headquarter.
Optimus System is a robotics company specializing in the development of the metaverse-based military training system applied with the virtual reality system. It plans to invest 14.4 billion won to establish new factories and start to produce the metaverse-based military training system. This will encourage more new job creation in the robot industry fields and boost the local economy.
Daegu Technopolis is one of DGFEZ’s investment districts and it is the hub of the innovation ecosystem for the future robot industry. As the investment district arranges the best robot manufacturing infrastructures in Korea, it is spotlighted as the best place for robot businesses along with active investment attractions.
DGFEZ will continue to actively support Optimus System for expanding toward the global markets beyond Korea.
