On May 18, 2023, (Thursday), IFEZ held a workshop with Songdo International Urban Development Limited (NSIC) to promote the development of Songdo International Business Complex. The workshop was designed to explore ways to attract second international schools early and secure school sites, which are preemptive conditions for revitalizing the development of Songdo International Business Complex. The need to secure school sites for two elementary and one middle school has been steadily raised as the number of school-age people living in officetels, which was not reflected in the population plan in the past, and young parents flowed into Songdo due to the creation of educational infrastructure. In order to secure school land for one elementary school and one middle school, IFEZ allocated international business land owned by IFEZ, converted part of G5 neighborhood park for school land, secured one elementary school, and reduced parks. NSIC, the developer of Songdo International Business Complex, actively cooperated with Incheon City.
