On June 5, 2023, (Monday), the Overseas Koreans Office, which is dedicated to policy-making and supporting 7.5 million overseas Koreans, opened in Songdo International City, Incheon. The Overseas Koreans' Office is an organization that comprehensively establishes and implements policies and projects related to overseas Koreans, such as establishing and implementing policies for overseas Koreans, supporting overseas Koreans and overseas Korean organizations, and implementing service policies. Following the inauguration ceremony, Incheon Metropolitan City held an event to commemorate the launch of the Overseas Koreans' Office at the United Nations Plaza in Central Park, Songdo International City, and declared the "10 million city Incheon Vision" to leap beyond Korea to become a world-class city. The "10 million city Incheon project" is a comprehensive strategy for Incheon Metropolitan City, which has overseas Korean offices, to become a world-class city centered on 7.5 million Korean networks around the world, such as Israel created by Jewish networks around the world and Hong Kong and Singapore, where global video networks have become growth engines.
