On November 3, 2005, the Ministry of Finance and Economy selected New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYP), a leading U.S. hospital, as the preferred bidder for Songdo International Hospital to be built in Songdo International City. Songdo International Hospital is scheduled to open with 600 beds in 2008.
