On January 18, 2007, IFEZ invited star scientists (Cho Jang-hee, Seo Jung-sun, Sungho Kim, and Professor Kim Sung-hwan) to hold a symposium to build the Incheon Biomedical Hub. This symposium was a place to discuss the future of Incheon Biomedical Hub with institutions and famous scientists who signed a business agreement with IFEZ to promote the plan to build Incheon Biomedical Hub and attract a "high-tech medical complex" promoted by the Korean central government.
